Following the news conference, Christy Martin and Classic Entertainment and Sports president Jimmy Burchfield toured the
Hall of Fame and enjoyed its many exhibits on boxing's storied history. Martin also attended the weekly concert held at the
Hall of Fame's event pavilion on Thursday evening.
Undefeated junior welterweight Chris Algieri (8-0, 4 KOs) of Greenlawn, NY recently toured the Hall of Fame and was surprised to meet boxing legend Christy Martin. Algieri, who has fought on cards promoted by Lou DiBella and Bob Duffy, enjoyed his unexpected visit with the "Coal Miner's Daughter" and wished her well on her upcoming bout in Syracuse on Sept. 2nd.

After attending the news conference announcing the Sept. 2nd "Fight Night at The Fair," Christy Martin and her husband Jim
spent a few days in "Boxing's Hometown." Just 10 miles north of the Hall of Fame, the Martins enjoyed Sylvan Beach, a
summer resort hot spot.
