DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC 
THE CLASS OF 2020 AND THE CLASS OF 2021 WILL BE 
ENSHRINED TOGETHER ON JUNE 10-13, 2021

    In March 2020, the International Boxing Hall of Fame postponed the 2020 Hall of Fame Induction Weekend (June 11-14) due to the COVID-19 pandemic and announced that the Class of 2020 and the Class of 2021 will be enshrined together during the 2021 Hall of Fame Induction Weekend scheduled for June 10-13th in “Boxing’s Hometown.” 






































​    In the March announcement, the Hall stated that, “By combining the celebrations of the Induction Classes of 2020 and 2021, the Hall of Fame can honor inductees with all the bells and whistles that the Hall of Fame Weekend is known for and provide each inductee with the recognition they each so richly deserve. By honoring the two classes in a one-of-a-kind Induction Weekend, the Hall of Fame will be able to put all the winning combinations together for the inductees, fans and the entire sport of boxing.”

    Many events in “Boxing’s Hometown” of Canastota are being planned for the four-day celebration, as well as evening events at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, NY.

    The Hall of Fame is currently monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and will keep fans updated on the schedule of events of the June 10 - 13, 2021 Induction Weekend and the date tickets will be available for sale to the public.

    The Class of 2020 includes boxers Bernard Hopkins, Juan Manuel Marquez, “Sugar” Shane Mosley, Frank Erne, Paddy Ryan, Barbara Buttrick, Christy Martin and Lucia Rijker; promoters Lou DiBella, Kathy Duva and Dan Goossen; and journalists Bernard Fernandez and Thomas Hauser.

    The Class of 2021 was announced on December 15th and includes boxers Wladimir Klitschko, Floyd Mayweather, Andre Ward, Laila Ali, Ann Wolfe, Jackie Tonawanda, Marian Trimiar and Davey Moore; cut man Freddie Brown, manager / trainer Jackie McCoy; and journalist George Kimball and television executive Jay Larkin.

In 2017, The International Boxing Hall of Fame and Turning Stone Resort Casino announced a 5- year partnership that includes a multifaceted program that spotlights Madison and Oneida Counties and has boosted tourism in Upstate New York. This partnership has helped make Upstate New York home to boxing’s most important weekend. The festivities have included a series of nationally-televised boxing events at Turning Stone, culminating annually in June with an elaborate International Boxing Hall of Fame Weekend celebration with several events, promotions, restaurant specials and more
