BOXING HALL OF FAME PARADE OF CHAMPIONS SET FOR SUNDAY, JUNE 12th 
AS PART OF THE 2022 HALL OF FAME WEEKEND INDUCTION TRILOGY

Popular parade set for Sunday, June 12th at 12 noon through streets of Canastota

    CANASTOTA, NY - APRIL 1, 2022 - The International Boxing Hall of Fame officially announced today that the popular Parade of Champions is back and will take place on Sunday, June 12th at 12 noon.

    “The Hall of Fame is so thrilled that after a two year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Parade of Champions is back!” said Hall of Fame Executive Director Edward Brophy. “It promises to be a fantastic parade in Canastota for Central New York residents and boxing fans from around the world who are in town for the weekend festivities.” 























​    The parade will feature boxing celebrities in convertible cars, marching bands, floats and community organizations and proceed through the streets of downtown Canastota. 

    Among the nearly 20 marching bands already confirmed include Canastota High School, APW Central School, Charles W. Baker High School, Moravia Blue Devils, Pulaski Junior / Senior High School, City of Syracuse Highland Pipe Band, Mohawk Valley Frasers and Syracuse Scottish Pipe Band.

    Due to the cancellation of the two previous Induction Weekends, the Classes of 2020, 2021 and 2022 will all be honored at a “Once In a Lifetime” Hall of Fame Weekend Induction Trilogy scheduled for June 9-12th in “Boxing’s Hometown.”

    The Class of 2020 includes Bernard Hopkins, Juan Manuel Marquez, Shane Mosley, Christy Martin, Lucia Rijker, Barbara Buttrick, Frank Erne, Paddy Ryan, Lou DiBella, Kathy Duva, Dan Goossen, Bernard Fernandez and Thomas Hauser.

    The Class of 2021 includes Wladimir Klitschko, Floyd Mayweather, Andre Ward, Laila Ali, Ann Wolfe, Marian Trimiar, Jackie Tonawanda, Davey Moore, Freddie Brown, Dr. Margaret Goodman, Jackie McCoy, George Kimball and Jay Larkin. 

The Class of 2022 includes Miguel Cotto, Roy Jones Jr., James Toney, Regina Halmich, Holly Holm, Tod Morgan, Bill Caplan, Chuck Hull, Ron Borges and Bob Yalen. 








































    In addition to the Parade of Champions, the 2022 Hall of Fame Weekend Induction Trilogy will feature many events throughout the four-day celebration, including a 5K Race / Fun Run, ringside lectures, boxing autograph card show and the Official Induction Ceremony. The Hall of Fame Weekend evening events include Friday night’s Fight Night at Turning Stone and Saturday’s Banquet of Champions. Both events will take place at Turning Stone Resort Casino in nearby Verona, NY.
