The Class of 2026 will receive boxing’s highest honor at the 
Official Induction Ceremony on Sunday, June 14 at 2:30 pm 

Ceremony to be streamed live on Hall of Fame’s YouTube channel

    CANASTOTA, NY - MAY 8, 2026 - The International Boxing Hall of Fame is pleased to announce that Hall of Fame ring announcer Jimmy Lennon Jr. will emcee the Official Induction Ceremony honoring the Class of 2026. The ceremony is scheduled for 2:30 pm (EST) on Sunday, June 14 and will be streamed live on the Hall of Fame’s YouTube page.       






















    The Class of 2026 to be honored includes boxers Gennadiy “GGG” GolovkinNigel BennAntonio TarverNaoko FujiokaJackie NavaJimmy Clabby (posthumous); trainer / cutman Russ Anber, referee Frank Cappuccino (posthumous), trainer / cut man Jimmy Glenn (posthumous), physician Dr. Flip Homansky, journalist Kevin Iole and broadcaster Alex Wallau (posthumous).

    Each living honoree will receive an induction certificate and a custom made Hall of Fame ring symbolizing their status as a Hall of Famer. 

















    “The Hall of Fame is thrilled that Jimmy Lennon Jr. will be emcee the Official Induction Ceremony and help honor the Class of 2026 with the highest honor in boxing, induction into the Hall of Fame,” said Hall executive director Edward Brophy.

    The Official Induction Ceremony will take place in The Showroom at the Turning Stone Resort Casino in nearby Verona, NY and special seating for the Induction Ceremony is still available. Please call 315.697.7095 to reserve your tickets today. 

    Many events are scheduled to take place in Canastota and Turning Stone Resort Casino throughout the four-day Hall of Fame Weekend celebration scheduled for June 11-14 including ringside talks, fist casting, 5K race / fun run, boxing autograph card show, fight night, parade and banquet. 

















   In addition to the new inductees an impressive array of boxing stars from around the world are set to be in Canastota including Marco Antonio Barrera, Mikey Garcia, Erik Morales, Jorge Linares, “Jesse” James Leija, Christy Martin, Timothy Bradley Jr., Winky Wright, Jim Lampley, Ray Mercer, Vinny Paz, Kenny Bayless, Kelly Pavlik, Ruben Olivares, Buddy McGirt and Eric “Butterbean” Esch. 















    The grand marshal of the Parade of Champions will be Sugar Ray Leonard and the 1976 U.S. Olympic Boxing Team, who will be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Olympic Games. In addition to Leonard, gold medal winners Michael Spinks and Leo Randolph; silver medal winner Charles Mooney and team member Chuck Walker will be attending.     

    A full card of professional boxing action, including two title bouts, will be presented by Christy Martin Promotions on Friday, June 12th in The Event Center at Turning Stone Resort Casino.
