2026 HALL OF FAME INDUCTION WEEKEND FESTIVITIES

Annual Hall of Fame Weekend celebration set for June 11-14

    CANASTOTA, NY - MARCH 1, 2026 - The International Boxing Hall of Fame and Museum is pleased to announce Hall of Famer Winky Wright will participate in 2026 Hall of Fame Induction Weekend festivities set for June 11-14 in “Boxing’s Hometown.”  


































     “We are very excited to welcome Winky Wright back to Canastota as a Hall of Famer to be part of the 2026 Hall of Fame Weekend festivities,” said Hall of Fame executive director Edward Brophy.

    Following a 52-4 amateur career, Wright turned professional in 1990 and the 5’10 ½” southpaw utilized a piston-like right jab and tremendous all-around skill set to capture the WBO / WBC / WBA / IBF light middleweight championships during his Hall of Fame career. Wright scored wins over Bronco McKart , Sam Soliman, Ike Quartey and Hall of Famers Shane Mosley and Felix Trinidad. He also drew with WBC/WBO 160-pound champion Jermain Taylor in a title bout. Wright retired in 2012 with a professional record of 51-6-1 (25 KOs) and was elected into the Hall of Fame in 2018.

    In addition to Wright, an impressive array of boxing stars from around the world are set to be in Canastota including Marco Antonio Barrera, Mikey Garcia, Michael Spinks, Christy Martin, Erik Morales, Timothy Bradley Jr., Jim Lampley, Kelly “The Ghost” Pavlik, Vinny Paz, “Jesse” James Leija, Jorge Linares and Micky Ward 

















    The 2026 Hall of Fame Induction Weekend is scheduled for June 11-14. Many events will take place in Canastota and nearby Turning Stone Resort Casino throughout the four-day celebration including ringside talks, fist casting, fight night, 5K race / fun run, boxing autograph card show, banquet, parade and induction ceremony.
