Annual Hall of Fame Weekend celebration set for June 11-14

    CANASTOTA, NY - APRIL 22, 2026 - The International Boxing Hall of Fame and Museum will host the annual Hall of Fame Weekend June 11-14 in “Boxing’s Hometown” and is now offering sponsorship opportunities for boxing’s highlight weekend of the year.       

















































      Many events will take place in Canastota and nearby Turning Stone Resort Casino throughout the four-day celebration including ringside talks, fist casting, fight night, 5K race / fun run, boxing autograph card show, banquet, parade and induction ceremony. 

    “Hall of Fame Weekend is the most exciting time of the year for the Village of Canastota and the worldwide boxing community,” said Hall of Fame director Edward Brophy. “We are so excited to honor the new inductees and celebrate the international sport.”

    Class of 2026 inductees set to be in Canastota include boxers Gennadiy “GGG” GolovkinNigel BennAntonio TarverNaoko Fujioka and Jackie Nava; trainer / cutman Russ Anber, physician Dr. Flip Homansky and journalist Kevin Iole.

    Posthumous inductees to be honored include referee Frank Cappuccino, trainer / cut man Jimmy Glenn, broadcaster Alex Wallau and welterweight and middleweight star Jimmy Clabby.


​    During the Hall of Fame Weekend festivities, the Hall will also be honoring the legendary 1976 U.S. Olympic Boxing Team as they celebrate their 50th Anniversary. Gold medal winners Sugar Ray Leonard, Michael Spinks and Leo Randolph; silver medal winner Charles Mooney and team member Chuck Walker will be in attendance.  

    There are many ways to help the Hall of Fame celebrate the new inductees, the 1976 Olympic Team and the entire sport of boxing including placing a congratulatory advertisement in the official Hall of Fame Weekend program book or becoming a Ringside or Golden Ringside sponsor which provides an entire package of benefits. 

    “The 2026 Hall of Fame Weekend is organized by hundreds of volunteers and sponsorship support would be very much appreciated as the Hall of Fame strives to make the event a memorable one for the international sport of boxing,” said Brophy
